Privacy Policy
NutCracker — Last updated: September 2026
Summary
NutCracker does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Your progress stays on your device. The only network activity is Google Play processing the optional in-app purchase, which is handled entirely by Google.
Data Collection
NutCracker collects no data whatsoever. No personal information, no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reports, no advertising identifiers, no location data. There is no account system, no server, and no cloud component operated by the developer.
Data Storage
Game progress — scores, stars, unlocked levels, settings, and the record of your purchase — is stored locally on your device in the game's private app storage. Uninstalling the game deletes this local data.
Backups
Game progress may be included in the standard Android system backup and device-to-device transfer, so your progress can be restored when you move to a new phone. This backup is operated by Android and your Google account, not by the developer, and is covered by Google's own privacy policy.
Security
There is no server, account, or database to breach: nothing is collected, so there is nothing held anywhere for an attacker to reach. On your device, progress is written to the game's private app storage, which the Android application sandbox keeps readable only by NutCracker itself. Purchase verification happens inside Google Play, so payment details never reach the game at all.
In-App Purchases
NutCracker offers a single, optional one-time purchase that unlocks chapters 8–14. It is processed entirely by Google Play:
- The developer never sees, collects, or stores your payment details — no card numbers, billing address, or real name.
- The game only learns whether the purchase completed, and stores that unlock on your device.
- The purchase is tied to your Google account, so Google Play can restore it if you reinstall or switch devices.
- Payment and transaction data is handled under Google's Privacy Policy and the Google Play Terms of Service. Refunds are handled through Google Play.
There are no ads, no subscriptions, and no consumable currencies.
Network Access and Permissions
NutCracker itself makes no network requests. It includes Google's Play Billing library, which automatically adds the INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, and com.android.vending.BILLING permissions — these are used solely to communicate with Google Play about the purchase. No gameplay data, progress, or device information is ever transmitted.
The only other permission requested is Vibration (VIBRATE), used for haptic feedback during gameplay. The one remaining manifest entry is a private signature permission Android adds automatically to keep the game's own internal components from being triggered by other apps; it grants no access to your data or to any device feature. No location, camera, microphone, contacts, or storage permissions are requested or used.
